Madame Pho: Review

Madame Pho – A New Vietnamese Spot in Dublin You Should Try

Hey Dubliners (especially my fellow students on a budget), if you’re looking for fresh Vietnamese flavours without breaking the bank, check out Madame Pho. A few of us swung by recently to see if it lives up to the hype. Here’s the lowdown.

The Food

Starting with the bao buns – we tried a few options like beef brisket, pulled pork, and crispy chicken. Each one packed a lot of flavour and felt authentic, with that rich taste you’d want from Vietnamese street food. At €12.50 each, the price was fair given the quality and unique twist on a classic.

As for the Banh Mi, it didn’t quite hit the mark. It was a bit dry and didn’t have the same creativity as the bao buns. For the same price, we were hoping for a little extra kick – maybe a sauce or something to make it pop.

The Atmosphere

Madame Pho really captures the street-style vibe with a cozy, laid-back feel that makes you want to stay awhile. The music was relaxed, fitting right in with the whole ambiance. The place has that “hidden gem” energy, making it a cool spot to hang out.

Is It Worth It?

Overall, we enjoyed the experience and felt like we got good value, especially with the bao buns. The Banh Mi could use a little work, but hopefully, they’ll tweak it as they settle in.

Would we go back? Definitely for the bao buns – they’re a solid choice if you’re looking to treat yourself to something different. Give it a shot and let us know what you think – who knows, maybe we’ll run into you there!
